Let’s come together to acknowledge and celebrate National Reconciliation Week 2024.The City of Melbourne is pleased to welcome you to our annual National Reconciliation Week Oration, exploring this year’s theme of ‘Now More Than Ever’, which reminds us all that we must continue the fight for the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The speakers at this year’s Oration are the co-chairs for the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria, Ngarra Murray and Rueben Berg.
Ngarra Murray is a Wamba Wamba, Yorta Yorta, Dhudhuroa and Dja Dja Wurrung woman based in Melbourne. She is passionate about community mobilisation, nation building, and treaties.
Rueben Berg is a Gunditjmara man based in Melbourne. His vision for the Indigenous community in Victoria is that all Indigenous Victorians are fit, healthy and living meaningful lives.
