Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, and the Baker family invite you to a Field Walk to inspect the impacts of nitrogen incorporation methods on sorghum at Tally Ho in Orion.To be discussed on the day:
• Nitrogen broadcasted on standing stubble in a zero-till system
• Strategic use of Kelly chain to incorporate broadcasted Nitrogen in a zero-till system
• Nitrogen broadcasted after a Kelly chain and back to zero-till system
• Drilling of nitrogen (in a zero-till system) at the time of crop planting
A nil nitrogen strip was used to compare effects of different nitrogen treatments.
Come have a look at the crop performance and hear about two-year’s worth of data collected such as, soil test results and soil water capture.
