Comic design with Crystal Lim at High Wycombe Library
An opportunity to learn comic design skills including composition, readouts, thumbnailing and
narrative vs plot. Practice what you learn by thumbnailing a comic based on your favourite
song (can be as interpretive, symbolic or literal as you like).
The workshop will conclude with collaborative feedback throughout the group and tips on how you can expand your knowledge after the workshop.
Bio
Crystal Lim is a digital illustrator and art tutor based on the unceded lands of the Whadjuk
Noongar people. Their work focuses on narrative, connection and recovery while prioritizing
education and accessibility.
Recommended for ages 14+ as we will be discussing narrative concepts that could be a bit complex for younger learners. All drawing skill levels are welcome.
This event is free, however bookings are required. All children attending must be accompanied by an adult, however the supervising adult does not require a ticket.
