Fully funded by NSW Health until June 30th 2024SafeTALK trainer Joe Tighe completed his PhD in suicide prevention at the Black Dog Institute and the University of New South Wales and now works as an associate psychologist at BPsych Clinic, Mona Vale and online for Unboxed Pride.
Joe is an ambassador for Livingworks ASIST and safeTALK training - global leaders in suicide prevention training.
SafeTALK is a half-day training in suicide alertness. It helps participants recognise a person with thoughts of suicide and connects them with resources who can help them stay safe. Participants don’t need any formal preparation to attend the training—anyone age 15 or older who wants to help create a suicide safer community can learn the simple safeTALK steps.
