About
'Hag-ia' is a living exhibition. It is a place where we come together to research, remember, relearn, and re-live our women ancestors experiences and stories, so that our time together becomes the artwork.Over four weeks, guided by local artist Tarsha Cameron, we will sit together in communication and begin to unravel and re-learn our women ancestors’ stories. We will do this through a process of deep listening, storytelling, archival research, and connecting with the materials of our late women ancestors.
We will organically create a work together that is fluid in nature and derived from our conversations, our making together and our own body experience of the revelations that arise.
At the end of the four weeks we will have a preliminary showing of the work which has evolved. The workshops will then continue throughout the year until SALA 2025, where our collective body of work will be presented.
