About

A workshop to give land managers knowledge of the design principles of farm earthworks and erosion control structures including:

A whole farm approach to erosion control,
Soil Types- impact on runoff and erosion,
Working with neighbours (whole catchment planning),
Contour bank design, spacing, length and gradient,
Broadacre and small farm contour bank systems,
Managing erosion gullies,
Maintenance of farm earthworks,

The day will include indoor and extensive field inspection sessions. Morning tea and lunch provided.
