The First Bloomsday - an original play
The Irish Community Players present an original play based on the first 'Bloomsday' established by four Irishmen in 1954.
Bloomsday is a celebration of Irish writer James Joyce (1882 to 1941) observed annually on 16 June, the day his novel Ulysses takes place in 1904, the date of his first outing with his wife-to-be Nora Barnacle and named after it’s protagonist Leopold Bloom.
Supper included - choice of three dishes
