About
Hear Louise Cooper, founder of Australia's first neurodiversity arts festival, speak about her lived experiences of being Autistic backed by the latest research. Louise will share how she has carved an accessible, creative lifestyle and what access means to her and her family. Learn and share your own lived experiences as we explore sensory differences and how to conduct a sensory audit; situational mutism and non-verbal communication (AAC); and styles of teaching, facilitation and practices which may better suit Autistic people. This session will be wonderful for Autistic individuals (and I welcome you to share your own lived experiences), artists, teachers, parents, support workers, educational assistants, therapists and anyone wanting to learn more about Autism and simple things they can do to create a more accessible and inclusive world.
