About
Want to lean how to grow your own mushrooms at home? In this workshop you will gain a basic understanding of the fungi kingdom, learn the mushroom log cultivation process from start to finish and get to take your own grow log home. Join Anthony Kerrison from Haven and Tristan Skerratt and Jay Dunn from FaRM, and gain the knowledge and know-how on how to sustain your own home gourmet mushroom supply. This workshop also includes a tour of the Northern Suburbs Community Centre & FaRM gardens to gain an understanding of how fungi can enhance the growth and performance of a wide variety of plants, including many common vegetables.Haven is a small regenerative farm at the foot of Mount Arthur and the FaRM (Food and Resilience Movement) is a joint project of the Northern Suburbs Community Centre & Starting Point Neighbourhood House funded by TCF (Tasmanian Community Fund). Both focus on creating sustainable, resilient food systems for the community.
