Enter the mysterious world of wild fungi with a foray at Haven. Just 30 minutes out of the Launceston CBD at the foothills of Mount Arthur, the property has abundance of fungi growing wild in the pine and ecucalyptus forests. Join Anthony Kerrison from Haven and Tristan Skerratt from FaRM and learn about mushroom identification and the important role that fungi plays in our ecosystem.After a short break and some light refreshments, you'll continue your discovery of the fungi kingdom in a log cultivation workshop. You will learn the mushroom log cultivation process from start to finish and get to take your own grow log home. Gain the knowledge and know-how on how to sustain your own home gourmet mushroom supply for your family, friends and community.
Please wear warm water proof clothes and shoes, and bring a notebook and water bottle. Afternoon tea provided.
