Rolene Nehama is a qualified Occupational Therapist with a strong interest in technology, particularly as it relates to providing choices in functional independence. This led her to work for a non-profit that provided information on equipment, home modifications and task simplification for people with disabilities which, in turn, led to caring for older people and an interest in palliative care, dementia care and aged care.
She brought occupational therapy services to JewishCare in 2012, allowing JewishCare clients the opportunity to remain independent for as long as possible by adopting environmental and technological changes. Today Rolene is engaged with the changes in the Aged Care system as they evolve and help the older community in navigating My Aged Care. Rolene truly believes that for every aging problem, solutions are possible.

Rodney Horin is a Solicitor by training, in early 2000 Rodney set about establishing a new career as a Stockbroker and Financial Adviser. In 2006, together with co-directors Alex Moffatt and Ben Gratzer, Rodney established Joseph Palmer & Sons (Vic) in Melbourne, specialising in wealth management for private and superannuation investors.
Recognising the significant financial pitfalls many clients face when moving their parents into aged care and that facilities are not licenced to provide financial advice, a new arm to the business was established providing specialist aged care advice, often saving clients hundreds of thousands of dollars while guiding them through the overwhelming process. The catalyst for this expansion was Rodney’s personal experience of transitioning his parents into aged care and the many complexities and serious financial pitfalls that are involved.
