Geelong Bioenergy Forum
About
The Western Victoria Region, including Geelong, is a vibrant center of food production and manufacturing, offering an excellent opportunity to utilize our current waste resources to generate energy and aid in decarbonization. The bioenergy sector holds significant potential for innovation, transforming organic waste into valuable energy sources, mitigating environmental impacts, and contributing to the circular economy. Challenges such as limited market access and uncertainties around commercial models do exist. The Geelong Bioenergy Forum aims to bolster the network, amplify our collective voice, and raise broader awareness. A fantastic lineup of speakers has been assembled to highlight regional and national developments. Scheduled over two days, the forum on the first day and site visits on the second day will serve as a crucial platform for stakeholders to discuss and explore the potential of bioenergy in facilitating the region's and national energy transition.Location
