Sleepout Rough for the Homeless is an event that addresses the serious issue of homelessness facing our community, which needs practical solutions. Our objective is to reduce the level of homelessness experienced by young people, by raising funds for our charity partner, South Port Community Housing Group www.spchg.org.au who house and support people facing homelessness.
The sleep out concept is not new but it is an effective and easily understood idea, whereby individuals and corporate groups sleep out overnight, under the stars and ask their network of family, friends & business associates to sponsor them for their efforts by making a donation, which is tax deductible. Participants pay a nominal fee of $20 (which includes breakfast) to sleep out rough in Central Park, Malvern overnight on Friday 22 November 2024. You will be part of a wonderful community of Rotary volunteers and other like-minded people who can help improve the lives of those who face sleeping out rough every night.
