Make Your Own Wet Felted Doily with Zela Bissett
About
Gather with Zela at the Gympie Regional Gallery workshop for an introduction to wet felting. Discover the magic of transforming carded fleece into a stunning doily.Wet felting is a traditional textile art technique used to create fabric directly from wool or other animal fibers. The process involves layering carded wool, adding soap and water, and then agitating the fibers by rubbing, rolling, or pressing them together. This agitation causes the fibers to interlock and mat together, forming a dense and durable fabric. The technique allows for creativity in color and texture, making each piece unique.
