GREAT EARTHQUAKE & GREEN MULES accompany WAGES OF FEAR
About
GREAT EARTHQUAKE & GREEN MULES join forces for the 2nd instalment of The MITCHAM WEIRD MUSIC CLUB on Saturday 20th July, playing live to Henri-Georges Clouzot’s 1953 proto-road movie, WAGES OF FEAR, at the hidden gem that is the PLAZA MOVIE THEATRE: a charming fifty-seat cinema at the back of ST JOHN'S PRIMARY SCHOOL in Mitcham. Proudly presented by the MITCHAM WEIRD MUSIC CLUB, bringing cool live music and art house cinema to the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Noah Symons is GREAT EARTHQUAKE — a one-man band, self-taught looping machine. Noah is focused on making music with melody and flow using post-punk basslines, afro-guitars, hypnotic vocals that float by alongside dubbed-out melodica and the huge blast of drums.GREEN MULES likes to think of himself as a one-man-beta-band or spiritualized on a shoestring budget. He documents the minutiae of suburban, middle aged, male malaise in his expansive, psychedelic songs. He recently dropped his fourth album, Tranquila.Date
