Offshore Theatre Present: My Sister Jill @ Berninneit
ABOUT
Multi-award-winning Offshore Theatre presents Patricia Cornelius' latest play My Sister Jill as part of the 1st anniversary celebrations of Berninneit.
A universal tale of the Australian spirit set against the backdrop of 1950s to 70s suburban Melbourne, My Sister Jill is a powerful coming-of-age story from one of the country’s most dynamic theatre collaborations, Patricia Cornelius and Susie Dee. Christine idolises her father, fascinated by his wartime experiences. The rest of the family does not share these sentiments.
WARNINGS: Coarse language, mature themes, sexual references, family violence, PTSD
Age recommendation: 14+ years
“Patricia Cornelius is one of Australia’s most significant theatre voices. Her semi-autobiographical My Sister Jill is a story for us and about us.” Artsreview.com.au
