Gardens for Wildlife
About
Have you ever wondered how to attract more wildlife to your urban paradise? Come along to a university near you and find out!Come along to a public lecture from one of our scientists, talking about the best ways to encourage wildlife to visit your garden. (Hint: it's not putting out birdseed). Head on a walk around our campus to see what kind of plants attract birds - while recording your bird count on the Birdlife Australia app. At the end of the event head home with your very own seedling* to nurture in your garden (*for the first 100 registrants per location).
In metro locations, you'll also be able to meet & greet an endangered bird from Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre.
Taking place in 3 locations over August, with different speakers, so you can find one near you. Morning tea is included.
