CONTEMPORARY ACRYLICS and MIXED MEDIA – with Anne McMahon (CANCELLED)

This 8-week course will guide you through a number of art-making techniques including, painting, blind contour drawing, mono prints, stencilling, image transfer and collage. You will use a range of media including acrylic paints, liquid mediums, art markers, oil sticks, inks, charcoal, gesso, cold wax, and gels.You will learn how to construct your own collage papers, how to use the elements of colour, repetition, pattern, shape, to design and compose works, and how to layer different surfaces, textures and papers in the construction of small or large works.
No experience is required for this course you will be guided step-by-step through each process and encouraged to create your own unique art works.
Anne, with over 30 years in the visual arts and education, is passionate about empowering individuals to explore and enjoy art-making. She aims to build confidence and inspire creativity in everyone.
