Course outline: This webinar aims to provide interpreters with a better understanding of the family law system in Australia. Our presenters will explore areas including mediation and proceedings at different stages; commonly used terminologies; and other types of family law matters; and their experience working with interpreters, giving us insight into how to work best with lawyers in tPresenters: Byron Leong & Shai Sommer (from Lander & Rogers)
Byron is an accredited family specialist and has practised exclusively as a family lawyer for over 20 years. He is of Chinese background and brings cultural understanding and sensitivity to client matters.
Shai practices exclusively in family law and in related jurisdictions. He is experienced in a wide variety of family law matters including high conflict parenting matters, complex financial matters and family violence matters.
