• Join Steamrail Victoria as we operate 2 steam locomotives with heritage 'E type' carriages from Glen Waverley Station on Saturday 6th July 2024.

• Steam returns to the Glen Waverley line for the first time since 2013! Take in the sounds and sights of a bygone era as our locomotives tackle Melbourne's steepest railway line, featuring the 1 in 30 Jordanville Bank! 

• Take a seat in our heritage carriages with beautiful wood veneer panelling, pressed tin ceilings and opening windows to fully experience the steam era!
  You may also join us on our transfer trains from Newport or Flinders Street to Glen Waverley in the morning or Glen Waverley to Flinders Street or Newport in the evening.

• Come along for a ride on The Vintage Train for a fun family day out through Melbourne's suburbs.

• TICKET OPTIONS
  6 x return shuttles will depart Glen Waverley Railway Station at 9:35am, 10:15am, 10:55am, 11:35am, 2:15pm and 2:55pm. These 40 minute shuttles will operate to Darling Station and return, passengers will not be able to join/leave the train at Darling.

• One way transfer trips will depart at the following times - 
  Newport (Platform 1) 8:20am or Flinders Street (Platform 10) 8:53am to Glen Waverley arriving at 9:29am.
  Glen Waverley 3:35pm to Flinders Street (Platform 10) 4:11pm, or Newport arriving at 4:41pm.
