Avenue Q
Blackout Theatre Company proudly presents Avenue Q.
Winning 3 Tony awards in 2003, this hilarious and irreverent musical cleverly parodies the beloved children's television show, Sesame Street. Through witty humour and catchy songs, the human and puppet residents of "Avenue Q" tackle adult themes such as unemployment, relationships, and the search for purpose.
With uproarious musical numbers like "It Sucks to be Me", "The Internet is for Porn” and “Everyone's a Little Bit Racist,” Avenue Q delivers a side-splitting and heartwarming spoof of Sesame Street that is sure to delight audiences
of all ages (but maybe leave the little ones at home).
Note - Despite featuring puppets, Avenue Q features full puppet nudity, offensive language and deals with a variety of Adult Topics and may not be suitable for all audiences.
Music and Lyrics by ROBERT LOPEZ & JEFF MARX
Book by JEFF WHITTY
