PUB: the Movie, screening at the Carlisle Street Arts Space
About
The outrageous true story of Fred Negro. Artist, singer and creator of PUB, the cartoon strip that chronicled the history of the music scene in his beloved St Kilda.A unique and brilliant graphic artist, Fred created the look of the St Kilda scene through his commercial art: handbills, posters and ads in the local street press. His "office", the front bar of the Esplanade Hotel, was the centre of the local music scene.
