pARTicipate Drawing Workshop
Presented by the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery
Drawing on Lloyd Rees
with Jan Peacock and Diane Casimaty
Join TMAG Art Guides for a two-hour drawing workshop inspired by Lands of Light: Lloyd Rees and Tasmania.
This pARTicipate is another in a recent series of workshops inspired by the major exhibition, Lands of Light: Lloyd Rees and Tasmania currently on show at TMAG.
Lloyd Rees (1895-1988) was one of the pre-eminent Australian landscape artists of the twentieth century and a highly accomplished painter, draughtsman and printmaker. In this drawing workshop, pARTicipants will experiment with the properties of various drawing materials and implements and effectively integrate them with their own style and creative approach.
We recommend visiting the exhibition in advance of this workshop. You can view Lands of Light: Lloyd Rees and Tasmania at TMAG from Tuesday – Sunday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and admission to the exhibition is free.
Sunday 7 July 2024
