The Melbourne Veena Festival 2024, organised by the Iyer Brothers, has emerged as a dynamic celebration of the mesmerising world of veena music. Veena is an ancient and sacred stringed instrument from South India. Day 1 of the event showcases local Australian talent as well as a full length concert of the master performer D Balakrishna, who hails from the rich Mysore tradition of veena playing.
