SPRING DAFFODIL SHOW
September is around the corner and that means it's time for the Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival. And with that, our new look Spring Daffodil Show - a fabulous free event fun for all the family!
A perfect opportunity to compete with other daffodil lovers and enter your favourite variety of daffodil or bulbs with many categories on offer. Choose your weapon...
- 1 x yellow daffodil
- 1 x white daffodil
- 1 x orange or red cup daffodil
- 1 x bi-colour daffodil
- 1 x pink cup daffodil
- 1 x yellow trumpet daffodil
- 3 yellow daffodils
- 3 white daffodils
- 3 orange or red cup daffodils
- 3 bi-colour daffodils
- 3 x pink cup daffodils
- 3 x yellow trumpet daffodil
- Container/Pot of Tazettas (jonquils)
- Container/Pot of Erlicheer
- Container/Pot of mixed daffodils
- Pots of mixed bulbs
- Kids: Daffodils in Display
- Kids: Surprise Us
Information for Exhibitors
Daffodil foliage only. In the case of blooms staged singly, one or two leaves would be appreciated.
Staging: One bloom to a container except where stated otherwise. Need to be able to stage/carry own pots.
All entries need to be presented in their own vases or containers which will need to be collected at the end of the Show. FYI, small beer bottles work well with single daffs.
Prizes
Certificates will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners in all categories.
AND ONE LUCKY COMPETITOR WILL WIN A 6 MONTH SUBSCRIPTION TO ABC'S GARDNENING AUSTRALIA MAGAZINE.
SATURDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER:
ENTRIES CLOSE 12.00PM
SUNDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER:
STAGING TIME AT MECHANICS HALL IS FROM 7.30AM TO 9.30AM WITH JUDGING BETWEEN 9.30AM AND 10.30AM
OFFICIAL OPENING BY STEPHEN RYAN AT 11.00AM
DAFFODIL SHOW IS OPEN FOR VISITORS FROM 10.3AM TO 3.30PM. WE'LL ALSO HAVE SOME MARKET STALLS SO COME AND SUPPORT SOME FABULOUS LOCAL MAKERS SELLING THEIR WARES.
PACKDOWN OF SPACE BEGINS AT 3.30PM – BINS PROVIDED
