About
Anahita is an ancient Persian Goddess who is associated with the element water ‘aban’, fertility and the lotus flower. We are exploring these elements in a musical journey that includes saz, oud, strings, harp, Persian percussion, and we are joined by special guest Thea Rossen on vibraphone and water percussion. Repertoire includes arrangements of Arvo Pärt Fratres and Spiegel im Spiegel; Vivaldi Concerto Op.3 No.2 from L'Estro, Sari Gelin, Lamma Bada and Persian improvisation.
