POLICY CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS IN REDUCING HEALTH RISKS OF CLIMATE CHANGE.The career-long work of Founder and Former Director of the Centre for Health and Global Environment – University of Washington – Professor Kristie Ebi lays bare the interconnectedness of human health with extreme weather events and rising temperatures, and through changes to food security and vector-borne diseases created by climate change. Her research and policy work has helped nations around the world understand where the greatest health threats from climate change lie, estimate current and future risks, deliver evidence-based policies to mitigate risk, and measure the health co-benefits of such policies.
