Join us on Threatened Species Day, the 7th of September, to learn about koalas, one of our most treasured yet threatened species in NSW, especially in the Eurobodalla Shire.Two sessions are available:
1. Eurobodalla Koala Seminar, 10am-12pm
The Eurobodalla Koala Project (EKP) has been active for over 12 years. Learn about EKP's work, recent drone surveys identifying koalas and other wildlife, and explore our interactive story map of Guraban (Koalas) in our shire and neighboring LGAs. Discover opportunities to establish koala feed tree corridors. Guest speakers from the NSW Koala Team will discuss connecting South East corridors, and our final speaker will address the future of EKP and koala conservation in Eurobodalla.
2. Guided Walk, 1.15pm - 2.30pm
Join us after the seminar for a guided walk through the Botanic Garden to look at koala-friendly food trees and discuss habitat preferences.
