About
Five Directors. One Gorilla. Some Monkey Business.In this daring format, five improvisors direct scenes to inspire, challenge and excite their fellow players. Succeed in the audience's eyes, and they win a banana! Fail, and the director will have to perform a forfeit - maybe apologise for their scene in interpretive dance, or explain what went wrong in rhyming couplets!
In this series of workshops, come and learn how to play the Gorilla format. You can then choose to play in Gorilla shows on 26-28 September, which will be cast from these workshops.
About Us
On the Fly is South Australia's leading improvisational training organisation.Prerequisites
At least eight terms (equalling two years) at On the Fly, including Intro to Impro, Narrative Know-How, Physicality & Stagecraft, Short Form Bootcamp and Long Form Fundamentals or equivalent.Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing so as to facilitate movement. Our classes involve verbal communication and physical movement, and participants are encouraged to participate to whatever extent their comfort permits. TICKETING INFORMATION
On The Fly recommends participants enrol in the whole term of classes to receive the full experience: each week builds on those preceding to teach a complete curriculum. Tickets for individual classes will be made available near the start of term.Concession prices are available to individuals who are on a low income. For example: full-time students, government-issued health care card holders, people who are unemployed, pensioners, and seniors card holders. On the Fly Impro does not require proof of concession.
