CANCELLED: Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control the AIJAC event on 1 August with Uriya Shavit and Carl Yonker is now cancelled.Please join us for an evening with our visiting guests, Uriya Shavit and Carl Yonker, from Israel.
Uriya Shavit - After completing his military service in an elite intelligence unit, he joined the daily Haaretz, where he worked as an international affairs analyst and editor. He recieved his PhD in Islamic history from Tel Aviv University and specializes in the study of Islamic law and politics. He has published several books on these subjects with Israeli and English-language publishers.
Carl Yonker - Doctor of Philosophy PhD from Tel Aviv University focused in Near and Middle Eastern Studies. Professional researcher and intelligence analyst with a demonstrated history of working in academic and non-academic research positions. Skilled in Middle Eastern geopolitics with specialties in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon.
