Dave Wright & The Midnight Electric
In 2014 Dave Wright & The Midnight Electric released their debut LP The
Lucky Country. Eleven songs that resonated with social messages and
explored themes unique to the Australian landscape, from farmers and
suicide to St Kilda’s prostitutes and the effects of war. The album received
good airplay locally and as far away as London and New Jersey the plaudits
rained in. It was hailed as “a Brilliant, brilliant album” by Mark Pendry of Ridge
Radio UK and “like listening to Springsteen, the Gaslight Anthem, Dropkick
Murphys, and Nick Cave all at the same time” by William Sperry of HGRNJ
New Jersey.
This will be the first time since 2015 that the entire album
will be played in full and in sequence as Dave Wright & The Midnight Electric
revisit The Lucky Country in one special, not to be missed show.
