Frog Census at the Flats (SOLD OUT)
About
Join Melbourne Water's Waterwatch, Banyule Council and David de Angelis to explore the frogs that inhabit the Banyule Flats area along the Yarra River. David will share his extensive knowledge of frogs and then we will head out for a frog call hunt and learn about the different inhabitants of the local ecosystems of Banyule Flats. There will also be some time to search for some of our local nocturnal night life.This event will give you a chance to practice your citizen science skills at the same time with the Frog Census app and iNaturalist. If you would like assistance using these, please ensure these apps are downloaded on your tablet or smartphone prior.
Please ensure you bring weather appropriate clothing, close toed shoes, drinking water, smartphone or tablet and a head torch.
Children must be supervised by an adult.
