Whitehorse Seniors Month Bike Check & Basic Repairs Pop-up (SOLD OUT)
Book in for a 15min timeslot and your bike will be given a safety check, and where possible, any necessary basic repairs or adjustments will be completed. You will also be provided with a list of any more complex repairs that need attention from a shop or service centre.
You might also like to request advice for ongoing maintenance of your bike, advice about transitioning to an e-bike, or recommendations for bike setup adjustments.
This course is commissioned by the City of Whitehorse and delivered by the professionals from Bike it Better, and is open to seniors who live, work or study in Whitehorse.

Who is this session suitable for?
- Seniors (as this event is part of October Seniors Month)
- Suitable for all types of human-powered bicycles, including folding bikes and e-bikes*.
*Please note only the non-electric elements of e-bikes will be checked/repaired. - Participants must live, work or study in City of Whitehorse
What is the start/finish time?
Your timeslot is allocated to just you, so please check what time you have booked. You may wish to arrive 10-15mins early to get your bike ready.
Where should I come for the event?
The session will take place in the undercover area at the front of Whitehorse Civic Centre, 399 Whitehorse Rd, Nunawading, between the council office and the library. You will be sent a reminder email with these details and where to meet a few days before the session.
What facilities are there at the location?
Toilets, water and undercover areas are available at the library nearby.
What if the weather isn’t great?
The training will only be cancelled if the weather forecast predicts extreme weather that will pose a health and safety risk to participants or facilitator(s). In this case, we will contact you 2 hours prior to your allocated timeslot. If weather conditions deteriorate after the event has begun, affected timeslots may be terminated to minimise health and safety risks.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket?
You don't need to bring your ticket on the day. We will have a list of registered participants.
What if I can't attend the session?
If you have booked a ticket and can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can open up your spot for somebody else to attend.
I am unable to book as it is booked out.
