Australia’s migration program allows employers to address skill gaps by employing overseas workers when Australian workers are not available. If you can’t find an Australian citizen or permanent resident to fill a job vacancy, you can employ an overseas worker. They can be on a temporary or permanent visa.This information session will offer prospective and current employers of overseas workers a practical, informative overview of common considerations and important matters to be aware of when using the migration program.
The information session will cover:
• Submitting a decision-ready application, amending applications and refusals.
• Workplace relations and tools and resources to assist with hiring.
• Sponsorship obligations, employer awareness, migrant worker exploitation.
Session time: 3pm AEST. Please take note of any time zone differences.
