This full day of workshops for soprano, concert and tenor ukuleles (not baritones) will showcase new instrumental music for both High G and a Low G ukulele by national and international composers Samantha Muir, Paul Mansell, Sally Carter, Tony Mizen, Choan Galvez and Cathy Welsford. The selected pieces provide many opportunities for learning, both skills and musical understanding.A free 40-page booklet of the pieces, including technical notes, will be provided for you to keep. It is not expected that you will be able to play all the pieces at the end of the day, or even at the recommended tempo. Rather, we will teach you how to build an understanding of each piece, how to efficiently approach it and how to practise it. You will then be able to apply the developing knowledge and techniques to other pieces.
