About
Violinist SUSAN PIEROTTI joins pianist BRIAN CHAPMAN in a program of works by Mozart, Beethoven, Massenet and Franck. The Classical first half comprises Mozart's sprightly and melodious Violin Sonata in A, K.305, followed by a unique perspective on Beethoven's 'Moonlight' Sonata presented with an illustrated introduction headed, "Grief, Denial and Rage". Following an Interval in which refreshments will be served, the French half opens with Massenet's sublime Meditation from the opera Thaïs arranged for Violin & Piano and concludes with the high romantic beauty and virtuosic brilliance of Franck's famous Violin Sonata in A.Location
