Pat Thurtell album launch
About
Albury born, and now Yackandandah resident, musician Pat Thurtell is launching his debut album "To The Fore" at the Yackandandah Courthouse on Saturday, September 14, at 6pm.Two decades in the making, and drawing upon a wide array of influences, from 70's yacht rock, Steely Dan, lounge jazz, The Doobie Brothers, bossa nova to Rachmaninov, the album tracks Pat's path from young man to husband and father, whilst visiting love, work, place, and human connection along the way.
The album was produced by Nicky Bomba, and has been made with attentive listeners in mind. To bring the album to life, Pat has assembled a band of North-East musical legends, including This Way North's Leisha Jungalwalla on bass and Cat Leahy on percussion, The Northern Folk's front man James Eggleston on drums, lead guitarist from Godpeed Brotherman (Pat's prior musical project) Adrian Ried, and singer/trumpeter Pat Westwood.
The show will take place outdoors in the natural amphitheatre below the courthouse.
