About
'Blues Skies' is the first in a series of concerts based on colour in music. The concert explores the various shades of blue ranging from the crystal blue of Norwegian fjords to the dappled turquoise of the ocean, and from the lapis lazuli of the Virgin Mary to the smoky blues of the jazz bar in the thirties. 'Blue Skies' features Monteverdi's 'Ave Maris stella', Charpentier's 'Salve Regina', Gjeilo's 'The Road', Irving Berlin's 'Blue Skies', Lynne's 'Mr Blue Sky' and Rogers and Hart's 'Blue Moon'.Location
