Community Languages Victoria's 2024 State Conference
Welcome to Community Languages Victoria's 2024 State Conference!
We are honored to invite you to the 2024 Victorian State Conference for Community Language Schools, hosted by Community Languages Victoria, on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2024 at RMIT University’s Storey Hall, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
This year’s conference comes at a poignant time for us. The passing of our beloved Executive Director, Stefan Romaniw, has been deeply felt across our community. His leadership, passion, and vision for community language education have been the cornerstone of our work, and we dedicate this conference to his memory and the legacy he leaves behind.
Despite the challenges we’ve faced, including the profound loss of Stefan, we remain committed to our mission. After another year of hard work, the annual state conference returns, offering an invaluable opportunity for language teachers and school management committees to engage with expert presenters. This year’s theme, Mapping Success: Empowering Growth in Community Language Schools, reflects our determination to continue building on the strong foundation Stefan helped establish.
Join us for this full-day conference as we explore key strategies for success in community language education and work together to empower our schools for future growth and innovation. The conference program, set to be released in early weeks of September, promises the same high quality of presenters, including a keynote address, a special Tribute to Stefan session, a new plenary session, professional development workshops, live performances, and a vibrant cultural atmosphere. Expect a day filled with delicious food, a joyful environment, and plenty of opportunities for learning and networking among peers and mentors.
We look forward to seeing you at the conference as we come together to honor Stefan’s legacy and continue the important work he began.
