The Football War uncovers the untold story of the battle between two rival factions in Australian Rules Football in the shadow of the impending WWII. The war was fought between the powerful Victorian Football League (VFL) which was comprised of strong inner-city clubs, and the struggling Victorian Football Association (VFA) which sought teams from Melbourne's outer suburbs.
