This film is based on a deeply researched book “Kathak Lok: Temples, Traditions & History” by the world-renowned maestro of Kathak dance, Padma Shri Guru Shovana Narayan & Geetika Kalha, Consultant Cultural Heritage Tourism Management, India.
This film unearths little known facts about the roots of Kathak dance, analyses the term “Kathak” and travels with the practitioners of the art. It brings out the role of Kathak in India’s social and cultural life over the centuries. The movie will be followed by a panel discussion and Q and A.
