Dementia awareness cocktail evening

NewDirection Care (NDC) is celebrating Dementia Awareness Week by hosting a cocktail event on Tuesday, 17 September 2024. The event will start at 5:00pm and end approximately 6:30 PM. Our guest speakers include:A Senior Geriatrician who will discuss healthy aging, early-onset dementia, and key preventative health strategies, as well as steps to support families (30 minutes)
Alyssa, Clinical Services Manager (Allied Health), who will speak about healthy aging through maintaining functional activity and cognitive stimulation (15 minutes)
Kim Jubb, Solicitor, who will cover EPOA responsibilities related to aging and dementia, addressing common questions and challenges faced by families (10-15 minutes)
Our guest speakers will keep the information brief to accommodate those with early-onset dementia and allow time for questions.
