Stargazing Astronomy Night
About
Wednesday 9th October, 7.00pm - 9.30pm
Immerse in the wonders of the Universe with large telescopes, a laser tour of the night sky and fun indoor space games and astronomy presentations on the big screen.
We will begin the evening with a presentation from astronomers from Star Track Events, where through space animations, you will discover the sizes of stars and galaxies plus learn about the world's biggest radio telescope, the Square Kilometer Array, being built right here in WA! There will also be the opportunity for learning through interactive games (great for the younger ones!).
After the presentation we will head outside where we will look through the telescopes to see the incredible ringed planet, Saturn, plus Venus, double stars, beautiful constellations, gas nebulae and much more.
A pdf certificate of attendance will be emailed to you after the event for your homeschool records (non homeschoolers are welcome too!).
Please note: This is not a drop & leave event.
BONUS
After your purchase you will receive an email with a variety of homeschool ideas and resources you can use to extend your child's astronomy learning. These include art and technology projects, an early reader, word search, helpful websites, investigation and essay prompts, southern hemisphere constellations and more.
