Free Caravan Weighing and Education Day - Hawkesbury Region
About
Transport for NSW is hosting free sessions where you can learn about calculating your caravan weights and gain some helpful tips for safer towing.
As part of your Inspection, TfNSW will measure the following weights of your vehicle and caravan:
- Actual Aggregate Trailer Mass (ATM)
- Actual Gross Trailer Mass (GTM)
- Actual Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM)
- Actual Ball Weight
- Actual Gross Combination Mass (GCM)
You will be informed as to whether each of the above measurements is compliant and, if any of the above is not compliant, we will provide suggestions to achieve compliance.
- Please bring your caravan with a BASIC LOAD. It is best to have your van weighed with its most basic setup so that you can then know how much payload you have remaining to load the items that you would typically take with you.
- Please ensure all stabilising or load levelling devices are disengaged (which you can do on site if necessary).
