Ulverstone - Saori Presentation by Prue Simmons
About
We are delighted to offer this information session about the wonders of saori weaving from one of Australia's leading practitioners, Prue Simmons, of Dyeing To Weave Studio. Prue has offered a free presentation to Guild members about the rich and unique history of SAORI weaving and a demonstration of the SAORI loom. This is a valuable opportunity for Guild members to learn more about SAORI weaving, its rich origins and creation in Japan and how it differs from other styles of weaving. This presentation will be held in the Montgomery Room, Carpark Lane, Central Ulverstone from 7 pm to 9 pm.
This is a free event for Guild members; non Guild members are also very welcome to attend. We request that non Guild members make a gold coin donation on the night.
Ample parking is provided in the two-hour car park adjacent to the
meeting room. Alternatively, all day parking is a short walk away
close by at the Wharf or Patrick Street car park.
