Fr. Pat Mara, MSC
Parish Priest of the newly merged Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Randwick and St. Margaret Mary North Randwick. Originally from Petersham, Fr. Pat worked in the plumbing industry for nearly a decade before answering a call to serve as a lay missionary. This led him to the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC), where he worked on clean water projects in Kiribati and Fiji before joining the MSC in 2007.
While studying theology, Fr. Pat also worked on clean water projects in Nimoa, PNG. Ordained in 2014 on the feast of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, he spent his first pastoral assignment on the Tiwi Islands for six years.
Fr. Pat enjoys motorbiking, cycling, and music. He now oversees the merged parishes, including two regional Catholic high schools, primary schools, a public teaching hospital, a major university, and aged care facilities. Known for his commitment to spiritual service, he makes a significant impact across all areas of parish life.
Fr. Sergius Paulus, CSE
General Minister of the Carmelite Sancti Elia, he has conducted extensive research on retreat guidance and pastoral communication in Indonesia and abroad. He teaches at St. John of the Cross Major Seminary in Indonesia.
He holds a Master of Arts in Social Communication and Pastoral Communication Theology from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.
Sr. M. Skolastika, P. Karm
Deputy General Minister of Daughters of Carmel and Vice Rector for Academics at Shanti-Bhuana Institute in Indonesia. She is known for her approachable nature and excellent teaching skills. Her lessons are not only profound but also relatable, as she often uses real-life examples that resonate with daily life.
She earned a doctorate in Development Studies from Satya Wacana Christian University, Central Java, and also completed studies at Teresianum University, Rome, alongside her spiritual training within the congregation.
Sr. Salverina, P. Karm
Deputy Minister at the Daughters of Carmel branch in Malaysia and mentors postulants. Her ministry is conducted in both Malay and English.
With a strong educational background in spirituality, Sr. Salverina holds a degree in Spirituality and a Master’s degree in Christian Anthropology from the Teresianum in Rome, Italy. She also served in mission work for approximately 13 years, from 2010 to 2022, ministering to Indonesian and English-speaking communities in the Holy Trinity Community in the USA and Canada.
Frater Rafael, CSE
Member of the Congregation of the Carmelitae Sancti Eliae. He has completed a postgraduate program at the Saint John Institute in Bandol. Currently, he is serving in pastoral ministry at the Parish of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus in Bandol-Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Fr. Rafael, CSE has long been part of the retreat and music ministry team within the CSE Congregation.
