Sulfidic, Sulfuric or Neither (PASS, NASS or AASS): Acid Sulfate Soils Risk & Interpretation Half Day Workshop presented by Mark Stuckey, Environmental Earth Sciences.This training is designed for mid-career professionals who understand the basics, background and field testing surrounding acid sulfate soils assessment, however not the interpretation of laboratory results, risk and provision of correct acid sulfate soil management.
Discover the difference between acid sulfate soils vs acid rock, the influence of organic matter on field testing and laboratory results, when acid sulfate soil management plans are required (or are not!), which guidelines prevail in NSW and get into the nitty gritty of managing and classifying acid sulfate soil waste and the meaning behind ‘sulfidic ores’.
By the end of this training attendees will be able to provide their clients with risk-based advice through appropriately analysing the data, and determining appropriate management practices.
