Make your own gorgeous Indigo shibori pieces to restyle your wardrobe or lounge.During this hands-on workshop, you will learn various Japanese shibori techniques to make your unique fashion statement and unleash your inner artist.
Artist Rehana Usman will walk you through all the steps in an easy and fun way. Feel free to bring one item like a top or pair of pillowcases to get extra benefits of up-cycling. Bring natural materials like cotton, linen, hemp, tencel or bamboo.
Come prepared for an intensive session. At the end of the class, take home some wonderful memories of this great experience and your own stunning shibori pieces!
Knowledge required
Absolute beginners welcome.
Ages 18+
You'll get all materials worth $45 (fabric, dyestuff, all equipment).
What you will need to bring along.
BYO- medium needle with large eye, sturdy thread, an apron or old shirt, kitchen gloves, and optional; 2 litre clean milk bottle to carry the left-over dye home.
