Autumn Cowl with Dear Pru

Modern knits are all about texture, and lace ismaking a comeback. In this workshop designed by
Pru Raymond, you will explore the basic buildingblock
stitches of lace: decreases and yarn overs.
Learn to read a knitted lace chart, and leave with
the confidence to complete the Autumn Leaves
cowl commenced in class.
Materials required
• 4.5 mm / 40 cm circular knitting needle
• 100g Fiberspates Vivacious DK (100% superwash wool; 230m per 100g) in Peach
Bellini or equivalent. Light- mid toned solid/ semi-solid colours are recommended.
• Notions: wool needle, stitch markers, scissors.
This class is designed as an introduction to lace knitting for ambitious beginners
and beyond! Not suitable as a “my first project” but for knitters who are keen to
learn new stitches that add texture and develop familiarity with charts as a way of
communicating hand knitted fabric.
