SFYL! Kickstart is exactly what it sounds like - a great way to kickstart your day, kickstart your return to singing after a break,or maybe kickstart your choir-singing adventures if you haven't sung much before (new members welcome!). These sessions are purely social - we'll get together, learn some songs, sing them with gusto and feel great, without any preparation, homework or performance pressure. Each session will feature a different program (mostly gospel and folk songs) - no sheet music involved, no experience required. Kickstart sessions are public events and usually include quite a few singers who are new to choir singing.

Kickstart Tuesdays for 2025:
4 March - 1 April - 6 May - 3 June - 2 September - 7 October
DOORS OPEN: 10.15am
SINGING 10.30am - 12 noon (including a short break - BYO water/snacks)
ONLINE BOOKINGS CLOSE: 9am on the morning of each session (earlier if sold out before then)

TICKETS:

• $15.50 per person (single ticket purchase)
• 2 tickets (same session, one transaction) = $14.50 each
• 3+ tickets (same session, one transaction) = $13.50 each

To book for multiple dates: When you get to the payment page for your first session, click on 'Buy more tickets' (under your shopping cart total on the right). This will send you back around and you can select another session. When you have all the tickets you want, double check the details in your shopping cart, enter your details and payment information, and you'll receive one confirmation email with all your bookings included. Terms & conditions:

• All bookings are NON-REFUNDABLE, unless a session is cancelled by Jane.
• Babes in arms are very welcome, however these sessions are not suitable for kids who are on the move.

Accessibility:

• The Old School Room at Kickstart Arts has level access. Chairs are available for singers who need/want them.
• There are several accessible parking spaces located close to the Kickstart Arts building (right next to and in front of the church). A valid permit must be displayed.
• Parking can be tricky and it's usually difficult to get a spot right near the entrance. If this is an issue for you, it's worth considering getting a lift to and from the session.

Singer health & safety:

• It's no secret that bugs can spread quickly in choirs - and it's important to care about the health and safety of other singers when you're part of a choir community.
• Our singing sessions are mask-optional. If you wish to sing in a mask, we recommend the Softmed N95 for singing. A few N95 masks are usually available for purchase ($3 each).
• Please do NOT attend if you feel unwell or have any cold/flu symptoms (even if you reckon it's nothing serious).
• We usually ventilate our rehearsal space (so rug up if it's cold outside). We'll have sanitiser available at every rehearsal.

Registered singers will receive detailed information via email before their first session.
